Makes perfect sense, like the medieval artifacts dealers who sold the actual skulls of Alexander the Great. Customers could choose which skull they wanted: Alexander as a child, Alexander as a teenager, Alexander as a conqueror, etc. The theory of multiple time streams allows for it.
