I always assumed limekiller was, like, 60. Berke would have been 23 at the time. I suppose at that age 45 seems old. I don’t feel old and I’m almost that age.
2 years ago I was picking up my elementary-school-aged daughter from school. She had told her friends that it was my birthday. One of her friends kidded with me, “So, what are you…100?” I laughed and said, “No…but I’m 1/2-way there.” The friend paused, then her eyes opened wide: “YOU’RE 50???” I got a lot of mileage out of that.
Ouch! It doesn’t sit well with me that Limekiller is a year younger than I am. But I still get carded sometimes when buying beer and wine so at least there’s that.

I’m not sure I want to face the fact that I’m middle aged. I get depressed enough as it is.
