Saw her in the Louvre last spring. I learned (1) she may not be Venus (Aphrodite) but a sea goddess named Amphitrite and (2) She’s actually made of two pieces of stone.
Could buy a better replica in any tourist shop, either at the Louvre or in Greece. But, I must admit, heads of Sandra Day O’Connor are more rare, more novel. Still….
