It was the part about “Chirping to the melody of ‘Honky-Tonk Woman’” that probably freaked her out. Up until that point she seemed to be intrigued.

Slapping the spleen is the funniest part! LOL!

That’s some funny stuff.

When I read this particular strip in the newspaper decades ago Opus says “Nice shins!”, not “Hel-lo hot mama!”. It made me laugh so hard I cut it out and saved it. I carried it around in my wallet until just last year. Now it sits on my desk, and I’m looking at it as I type this. Twenty-plus years later and it still makes me laugh out loud.

That huge book is a very large volume of misinformation. I wonder if there are any actual facts in it.

Penguins have shins?

Well dang, I’m all hot and bothered now!!! Opus can come and slap my spleen any day!!

‘Honky Tonk Women’ must be more exciting than I thought. No wonder it was a big hit.

I’m certain we can all understand how the female penguin can be easily seduced by such a courtly regimen!
