January 30, 1988. The year of “The Shrimp” vs “The Wimp” with a few characters running besides those 2 such as Gary Hart, Alex “I am in Control!” Haig, Pat Robertson, Gore, Jesse Jackson, Lyndon LaRouche, David Duke, James Traficant, etc…. I remember that Trudeau had a field day with Gore and Bush on Doonesbury as the 2 entitled blue-bloods vying for their parties’ nomination.

People wearing silly hats and saying goofy things isn’t limited to election years. Go to just about any tropical tourist spot.

Some things haven’t changed since the 1980’s. Election years have always been about stuff going sideways and crazy.

Timeless! As valid in 2024 as the year it was created.

Haven’t heard a cow bark yet, but I don’t spend as much time on YouTube as I probably should.

I wouldn’t say the red MAGA hats are “silly” ,the heads wearing them are another thing .
