This is so sad and though some matters may be better now (acid rain and ozone) forget about better jobs and wages. There might not be any jobs for humans moving forward.
This is why a lot of older people are cynical about government it’s always the same problems for the most part and it doesn’t matter who is elected nobody ever really fixes anything
And we wonder why a whole generation is screwed up. 40 years of this and we are still all here, breathing and alive. All of today’s doom and gloom where the world will end in X number of years will similarly not come true.
Back then we believed we would have solved all the problems of the day by now and been colonizing Mars already. Musk came along and showed us things with rockets we only thought possible in science fiction we saw a glimmer of hope for the future. Then multinational conglomerates took over our companies and took away our retirement funds. Now after all the hard work Musk wants to take away our Social Security,Medicare and Medicaid. These are THE FACTS. This is our future. A bit cynical? Yeah I would say so.
we are currently paying the price of never dealing with all those same problems 40 years ago. Our survival as a species is predicated on stupid people who would rather hoard wealth to themselves
