one time when I was having my ABC warfare training in the army, the sergeant showed us how to wear a gas mask, and I thought how the HECK am I to wear this over my glasses?and another soldier asked the very same question!there is shortage of enlists it seems, so they’re not sending off spectacled soldiers, it seems. and during the same training, the sergeant told us, if you see a mushroom cloud, you have to dig a trench, and a soldier replied, if we really see one, we will be dust in seconds!
