Hi, Marg, I didnā€™t! Iā€™m so embarrassed! Could you repeat yourself? (I couldnā€™t find it when I looked)

Welcome back ejcapulet! Iā€™ve missed you. I figured you were on a vacation somewhere.

I wasnā€™t sure that you saw the above.

    :-)

What the heck is the picture on the right suppose to be? The monster under the bed or perhaps an alien visitor?

The expressions on his subjects indicate they found out too late.

This woman is pretty much a blank outline with a pointy nose. Inspiration for Carl!

Well, at least Sam Basset didnā€™t say "Why did it have to be another B!+(#. "

Miss Behave casts an alluring spell. I can only assume that if this were in color we would see (Nighthawks close your eyes) PURPLIE lipstick.

Itā€™s OK if Carl draws, as long as you donā€™t have to look at it afterwards.

Carl must have been inspired by Cleoā€™s new pet yesterday.

Anyway ā€“ Sam Basset strikes again: http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy&uc_full_date=20200824

I prefer the line as ā€œWhat can I do you for?ā€ ā€“ and whereā€™s Max?

    Wow!

    ā€œThe Maltese Bassetā€ !!

One of the best films ever madeā€¦. and one of my all-time favorites (an overlapping, but not necessarily identical, pair of lists) ā€¦

and I almost slept through it!

I hope my ticket will let me stay through the second showing, so I can catch what I missedā€¦

    in the August 24th Ā 2020 ā€œCLEO and COMPANYā€ on Sherpa.

    Ā

What a story, indeedā€¦. I donā€™t want to give any spoilers, cos it says ā€œto be continuedā€ ā€¦

But itā€™s one of the first films to be called ā€œnoirā€ā€¦

and the intrigue is thick enough to cut with a knife..

Every part, from leads to bit parts, of which there are few, cast to perfection.

    Ā

There is no other_possible_ Sam Bassetā€¦ or Miss Behaveā€¦ for this filmā€¦.

(even though I know another Miss Behave, IRL, but she wouldnā€™t be right for this film, cos sheā€™s a drag queenā€¦ but I digress)

The ā€œFat Dogā€ will show up, as a memorable villainā€¦ played a famed (and fat) canine stage actor in his first screen role.

The simpering Joel Canine, if I remember his name rightā€¦

    And the Basset itselfā€¦. wow.

    Ā

Nighthawks has done a beautiful job of capturing the filmā€¦

What dogtective, no matter how hard-boiled, wouldnā€™t fall for that face, in panel three?

He wants to investigate her, privately, from the first moment.

But there are mysteries to sniff outā€¦ doggie romance is off the tableā€¦

until some details are dug up.

    Ā

    The stage is beautifully setā€¦

    thanks, Nighthawks.

No one can follow a trail like Sam Basset. Once he has the scent heā€™s relentless.

Good Morning Ballardeers and Ms Bel!. Q-date 164.98246.46 and hooboy howdy itā€™s gonna be sticky and I have to go to the transplant docs office for a follow up. Should be a look at last months test results, tell me to lose more weight, check on the how the meds are doing, my general state of mind (bat crap crazy) and send me on my way.

I love a good noir. All of the older ones were great and Sin City was a strange (me too) but good one.

Yā€™all have a wonderful day! (((((HUGS TO ALL!)))))

Oh my Goodness! One of my all time favorite movies! I just love Mr. Bassetā€™s casual repartee. (Like ā€˜in walked troubleā€™) Love how Miss Behave is always flipping one of her ears away from her eyes. A real classy dame.

My favorite part? ā€˜To be continuedā€™!!!

How much is Sam Basset going to charge her for his help? Or, will she hug him and heā€™ll forget to charge her anything?
