While it would depend on “who is writing” I still think Avengers would have a hard time handling Supergirl and WW.

Depends on the roster for both teams, but I would say if your going with basic teams Justice League would win.

And I’m a fan of both DC and Marvel as my 10,000 comic books can attest.

Depending on which avengers lineup, they may have magic wielding heroes. Kryptonian invulnerability does not extend to magic. It punches right through (Etrigan vs Superman proved that pretty clearly). If it’s an Avengers mix with the Scarlet Witch, a lot of the heavy hitters from the Justice League would be neutralized fast, and then the Avengers would win easily. Barring magic, however, I don’t expect the Avengers to have a substance that acts like Kryptonite, and they would lose in the end.

Justice League wins. Why? Because super speed matters. Flash is so fast it’s not even funny. He’s many times faster than the speed of light ffs, he can roam and help out his teammates after taking one or two of the lesser opponents down (see: Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Quicksilver).

He can also punch things with his “infinite mass punch” (mass increases as speed increases towards the speed of light) Good luck surviving that.

We’ve already seen that Superman can take down Hulk (the Avenger’s hardest hitter) in the crossover.

Uhh….Hulk? Now that would be an interesting battle….Superman vs The Hulk. Lots of collateral damage.

Superman vs. Hulk was a quick plot device in a Superman/Spiderman team-up. Superman just stood his ground and let Hulk hit him until Hulk was exhausted.

    Right.

And in thinking more Scarlet Witch could be a match for Superman depending on her power level.

I read the comic where Hulk fought Superman and Superman was noticing that Hulk was getting stronger not tired and so he realized he had to change tactics. He then noticed a device flying around Hulk’s head that was making him angry. Superman destroyed it and then exhaustion took over Hulk. And Hulk has gotten considerably stronger over the years whereas Superman’s power levels have fluctuated. So Hulk might win but collateral damage would be extensive (planetary). Fighting Hulk is like fighting Doomsday. He keeps adapting.

Either way it would be an awesome battle that I would so buy every copy of! BTW, if the Justice League had Zatana or Raven, she could counter Scarlet Witch’s magic.[Again, awesome battle!]
