Ever read a children’s book called Tacky the Penguin?

Opus begins his Presidential campaign, although for which party I can’t really say.

“I gotta Be Me!”

“Every one of us is an individual!”“I’m not!”

“…blessed are the big-noses…..”

Berkeley Breathed also does children’s books.

And blessed are the short fingered.

Not that any of them should be elected president/

I spotted Bill the Cat.

Bill the Cat has paws.

Not fingers.

Like Groucho, I would never join any group which would accept me as a member.

Bill is there to support his running mate and Meadow Party standard bearer. Opus has to prove his foreign policy skills. As an American penguin (his father must be an American if he’s running for Pres.) giving a speech about identity in his mother’s homeland, this will give the media covering the event (Animal Planet) something to share with the American voters. Now they can make an informed decision on whether or not to consider the third party candidate.

The trouble with tribbles is that they are not penguins. They are not part of The Group. Maybe they will beam down from that mini-Enterprise perched upon the colorful candidate’s fruity noggin….

What’s he trying to do? Imitate a puffin?
