I spent Monday in a hospital waiting room while my brother had the first of two follow-up surgeries from last Christmas emergency life saving surgeries. Hopefully this will get him back to work in a few months. Meanwhile, his bills keep piling up and he has no income. Now, on to my own medical needs today. See you tomorrow.

Back and catching up. I read QueenofAmerica’s posts yesterday in amazement and found the pics of mama cat and kittens to be cute. Reminded me of a longhaired cat we had growing up named Fred. One day Fred disappeared under the basement steps and suddenly Fred had 5 kittens and Fred was renamed Freddie. We never knew he was a she until she littered. This was 50 or so years ago. I’m on an antibiotic that costs $4.50 per pill (and that’s for the generic!). Ain’t retirement fun?

QofA, They’re on their own, no mama. They’re eating solid food but their eyes are still in the process of changing color. It’s fun to watch them chase each other around. She’s keeping them apart from the resident cats, but they’ve been in several rooms with the doors closed. It’s a big house. So far, they seem to be very healthy. Fingers crossed they stay that way.

Thanks for the great pics of Steve McQueen with a cat. Love that man. And he proves it’s super cool for a guy to love cats
