Basically, I have found that if I do something right, nobody says anything, but, if the smallest thing goes wrong, I will hear about it , over and over.

Yeesh. This sounds like my days with the Big Bad Insurance Company. Complimentary letters from subscribers never went into your personnel folder – only complaints. “You are expected to do a good job. We’re not interested in that. We only need to know when you are not performing to our standards.”
