Peppermint Patty mentioned her father pretty often (she didn’t have a mother), and we all know Charlie Brown’s father runs the barber shop. Violet used to brag about things her father did, trying to get a rise out of Charlie Brown. Franklin would talk about his grandfather at times.Lucy, of course, had issues with her mother. And we won’t even bring up the teachers! Adults were frequently in “Peanuts”, just off-panel, as was proper..
I wonder if Schulz ever did a Father’s Day strip. I would have loved to see Peppermint Patty’s relationship with her father more, even if obviously they didn’t show him. The two seemed to have a very close bond. I’ve always had respect for single parents.

Snoopy: combination beagle, vulture, and coat hanger.

It’s funny how Snoopy always hunted as a vulture when actual vultures usually decide for other predators to take care of the work.

Mama didn’t raise you to be no coat hanger.

Vultures get no respect.

Funny-just as I’m reading this, my own black and white “vulture” is sitting on top of the cpu……(don’t tell Snoopy, but this one is a C A T.)

Seem like the strip should’a run a Father’s Day strip.

A Father’s Day strip wouldn’t have made sense because Charlie Brown is on vacation, and no adults are in Peanuts anyway.
