Oh yeah! I’ve seen those guys. They really aren’t hornets though. That is a bald-faced lie. They are wasps. They had a huge nest under the eaves in a corner of my house. They stung exactly one person, who is always having odd things happening that nobody ever believes to be true.Priceless.

I once got slapped in the face by a bald chick. Does that count? It really stung.

I had a little tiny wasp crawl up my sleeve one day when I was at the local post office to drop off something that needed to be returned to the sender. It stung me seven times, and it looked like the dipper portion of Ursa Major on my forearm. It got back outside okay after stinging me and presumably lived happily ever after. I’m pretty sure I was nowhere near death from it, though.

The other birds are sympathetically mimicking the speaker’s posture.

I would not doubt the veracity of your claim, Big Yellow Bird! Not even when it appears in a lame comic strip!Of course, there are those who suspect that I’ve been wrong before….Why pick on the hornet? It was probably a defensive sting. Were you about to eat it?
