Zuzan. continuing your thought from yesterday…

It is easier to be a lover than a husband, for the same reason that it is more difficult to be witty every day, than to say bright things from time to time.

Miss Emma is about to find out all about Scooter’s anti-social tendencies.

Oh sure, Miss Emma speaks kindly to dogs. Her husband Millhouse is another matter. She doesn’t speak to him at all.

Indeed, Miss Emma is quite used to compliments….

She may not be as glamorous as Miss Millie High Maintenance, of course…but there’s just something about her seemingly innocent charm that the boys go for…..She’s the “Mary Ann” of the neighborhood dogs, not the “Ginger”….The “Betty”, not the “Veronica.”(Though in reality, Miss Emma’s friend Ginger is, herself, more of a Mary Ann type.)

And Miss Emma has her moments that are not all that innocent.

Dennis…. can’t quite figure out what thought of mine you’re referring to, but I do agree with the quote.

There are many things it’s easier to do in bursts than long term…and more fun when you don’t have to be responsible for doing them every single day.

Like…. well…. spending the weekend in a tent is more fun than having to live in one…and spoiling the grandkids or the nephews and nieces is fun when you won’t be living with them afterwards.

As for the short vs. long-term wittiness….I’d settle for any.

That is my girl.I had to stop in our afternoon walk twice yesterday so people could fawn over her.

Now I see Susan’s Post, yeah, Miss Emma is the dog. I had one like that.. a bus driver saw her in my car and started hollering out his window “I want her! How much?”

    Denniz … Zorry…. I zhoulda reallized!

And to all…. sorry, didn’t mean to step on any toes…. or paws.I was very tired…. I didn’t understand a few of the comments before mine….but I kinda let my confusion slide.I remembered Miss Emma from that strip I posted about the “boys” lining up…. so I kinda wondered why the mention of Scooter, who’s always a big white dog….and whether I missed his connection to her…It didn’t occur to me then that people meant Miss Emma was the human.
