Once I DID get away with it. The sign with the change in speed limit had been knocked down and therefore not visible. I told the cop there was no sign, and he admitted that he knew it so had no case.

Thank God we eliminated the National 55MPH posted speed nonsense; that and the silly 85MPH speedometers…
