Make like a purse snatcher and run with it.

Someone who had this problem with his lady friend incessantly asking him to hold her lady purse, had the great idea of carrying a more manly carry-all, or simply a plastic shopping bag, and he’d slip her purse into that when she asked. With her purse well invisible, there’d be no threat to his manly self esteem ;)

I’ve never made my husband hold my purse. That is so weird! Dressing rooms have a hook on the door and usually have a bench to sit on. My purse has plenty of room in there with me.

I once wore a dirty formal dress to a important gala because my ex would not be seen carrying it to the cleaners….

I wouldn’t ask my husband to hold my purse but there have been times when I asked him to hand it to me, and he’d pick it up with his thumb and middle finger and give it to me with an “ewww” expression on his face. It was only a few seconds for heaven’s sake! On the same subject, I’ve suggested many times that he carry a briefcase rather than jam his pockets full of everything but it falls on deaf ears. Why do men so enjoy having their pockets jammed up like that?

My ex would ridicule me for having too large a purse and then ask me to put something of his in it. That’s just one reason that he’s the wasband…
