Jason: The problem now of course, is if we seek, medical attention, we'll have to admit we put pencils in our dart guns
Marcus: Well, the ones in our feet we could say we stepped on...
Still, I’m impressed - in-between fits of laughter - at how these boys can take the pain. I probably wouldn’t be good for more than 3 or 4 pencils stuck in various parts of my body.
Boys will be boys! I might be wrong but isn’t shooting pencils a little dangerous especially when they apparently have the force to be embedded in chairs and walls!
I still have a piece of graphite in my upper left arm 59 years after my brother stabbed me when I was four. I tried using my dissecting kit in college to remove it. My roommates were grossed, but I did not feel any pain. Never did get that little sucker out!
Yukoneric… I do too!
I don’t know if it is physically still there (can’t feel it), but the dark spot is! (48-ish years)
Little brother, my forearm, I was 8, he was 6.
Heh. We used to stick pencils in our dart guns, too. (After we’d lost all the darts, of course.) But they never seemed to have enough force to penetrate skin (very far), much less walls and furniture. Mom still got rather irate every time she’d catch us doing it, though…
We also used to use china-berries in our pellet guns after we’d shot and lost all the rubber pellets. Those worked better. And really stung, too!

@boy 123 - you shouldn’t remove items in someone after penetrating trauma (at least until you get to the ER).
So in their case, they shouldn’t get the lead out!
