Iāve found out that having my ringer on silent keeps the annoying calls at bay, for I glance at the phone # (on my caller ID) as itās āringingā and if I donāt recognize the numberā¦I donāt pick up the phone. Fortunately I live in a condo, and havenāt had to deal with JWs knocking on my door, but they do leave their literature behind or they send you a letter via snail mail.

When we get garden spiders at our front door ( building a web, not ringing the doorbell ) we leave them, we get a lot fewer āvisitorsā that way.

And the annoyance level goes up several notches when it is someone trying to sell something.. like a new roof, windows or religion.
