I guess none of them have heard of the following tools: calendar, cell phone alerts/alarms, tying a string around the finger (haha), putting a note on the fridge, etc

That is why we put a calender with big squares on the wall. We write all over it.

When my mom used to ask me to do this I’d immediately say, OK send a birthday card to your aunt.
