    Someone once said that a weed is just a plant you haven’t learned to love yet. The one that comes to mind first is the poor, misunderstood dandelion. The early leaves, before the fuzzy white head appears, and the flowers are edible. The flowers can also be used to make jelly and wine. Dandelion wine is pretty good if you can get past the yellow color making it look like a specimen. The roots also make a powerful medicine.

    Weeds often don’t let a little snow affect them either. They grow up through the snow, through the asphalt, through the sand in the most arid desert. A weed’s will to live is amazing and frustrating.
