Yep. And then (I believe) it was 6am when the stations came to life again…they would play The Star Spangled Banner with our flag waving. And then the cartoons would begin. Of course, I can only vouch for Saturday mornings. LOL
I recall those days. We had one station on Saturday nights would play old horror films all summer and stay on until 0100. Mum thought it was wasteful. We thought it was fun !!
