It was Thatadad’s turn. Both parents are responsible to take care of their children… and it is good parenting to take turns.

A good bonk makes a mechanical object to start working, too!

When ours were little, we had a system, I took the baby 10pm – 2 am if s/he woke up then I’d respond, our first got into a rhythm within 3 days that I could get her at midnight and I knew I’d be set for another 4 hours. My hubby would get the baby from 2 -6 am and by “get” I mean change diaper, bring them to me to feed, carry back, settle down as needed then pee himself. He’s more of a morning person, I’m more of night owl, and that way we ach had a 4 hour stretch of soild sleep.
