    We used homemade rods (sturdy tree branches, fishing string, lead sinkers and hooks) and fished in the Susquehanna every chance we got. Soaked the fish in salt water over night and had them with fried eggs the next morning. Mmm. Good times and good eatin’.

    Aside- we gutted and cleaned our own fish. Good fertilizer for the Mom’s garden.
