As if Marcus’ mother wasn’t embarrassing enough with photographing every minor detail he does.

If you act, you better put a little something from your own, real life personality into the characters so it can come more from the heart and it will feel more natural. That’s just the best way. The same with writing.

For those who usually read the blog entries I point to, but didn’t see the link because I stupidly hit Delete instead of Reply (maybe I was still upset by the news) and my comment no longer is where it usually is, I found out later that, Richard had posted a pointer to that blog entry in a GC comment 5 years earlier (what my Reply was supposed to be about).He seldom, if ever, did that (pointed to a blog entry in a GC comment) before. Maybe he did it because this time, the entry is more about his family than the strip.

Bob Dylan was the voice of my generation. Boy, am I old.

What a shame. This is one of my all time favorite strips. RIP Mr. Thompson and thanks for all the joy you brought us.

I just realized how much Marcus looks like Bart Simpson’s friend Millhouse.
