all we know is that scorpions find us humans kinda bland.
The chemical beta carboline in scorpions is what makes them glow under UV light. Now, the reason they have this chemical that makes them glow under UV light is not known.
“Yes they flouress in different colors.”.I was writing drilling programs and used the word “flouresence” in the plan for testing cutting samples..A German co-worker, Cuno Lassen, laughed at me and pointed out it is Fluorescence , made without flour.(I wonder if he’s still alive after all these years.)

They change the UV light to visible blue-green and emit the blue-green light.
(Minor detail, but in my heart I’m a minor.)-———————————————————————————True. It is absorbed as UV light and re-emitted as visible blue-green light.
