Man: I found my old mitt! Boy, this brings back memories. Woman: Like what? Man: Oh, the crack of the bat, the ball against the blue sky. Me, waiting with my trusty mitt, and then running after the ball as it sails over my head.
If this was little league, probably no error would be charged. If one was, I’m guessing an E-9 (right fielder), not an E-8, which would have this guy playing center field – highly unlikely by the sound of things.
My mitt was a right-hander, I’m a lefty. Assuming the ball came anywhere near me and I picked it up I’d have to take the mitt off to throw if I wanted it to go toward another player.Otherwise, forget it.

The boos from the stands. The scorn of your teammates. The psychic scars that keep you glued to the couch today.
