Good bye to Scotty Moore, a great guitar artist. Keith Richards once said ‘Everyone wanted to be Elvis. I wanted to be Scotty.’
Scotty Moore was a backup musician for many of Elvis’ early songs, including “That’s All Right.” He was effectively also The King’s first manager.
Thanks to both of you. I didn’t know who Scotty was.
Sara and Stephen must be terribly young. I have to believe that. The alternative is to say that Argy, Party and I are…….well, you know…..
Can either of you name Elvis’s bass player or the guitarist who wore a neck brace?
I did not know who he was either. However, when something like this shows up, you can bet Guy creates a great memorial strip and I trust him to show his respect and that’s enough for me.
Scotty Moore and the Sun Sessions. He very recently passed on.
I think I saw Scotty Moore’s obit in the paper the other day.
Thank you, Guy.
