Scooter is saving his expression of amazement for when Shelby does a face plant hopping over the fence.

Scooter just rolls his eyes when Shelby zigs where he oughta zag.

Dennis…are you rolling something besides your eyes?

And while I’m at it…. I’ve seen lions with dark fur at the back and tips of their manes…in fact female lions are said to prefer it. (Glad I wasn’t the one knocking on their doors to ask.)

But I wasn’t sure I’d ever seen one with all that fluffy, wavy fur all the way down his legs and on his belly.

Now I know they do exist:

Hey Bev,Your retirement planning looks good on “paper” but California no longer pays to recycle wine bottles.

BTW… I bin thinkin’….(well… it IS late at night, so it could happen…)

    $1000 worth of wine…. $214 in recyclables???

Say you’d bought a hundred $10 bottles of wine for $1000..To get back $214, you’d have to get over two bucks back from each bottle.

sayyou bought 50 bottles of Two Buck Chuck. $214 is over 40 cents each back. But a more typical deposit is 10 cents per bottle… to get $214, you’d have to have turned in 2140 bottles…for $1000 dollars… so you’re drinking wine that cost less than 50 cents a bottle!Good stuff. Good stuff.

Meanwhile, sad to say… you actually get nothing for wine bottles in California unless you find a recycler who pays a few cents per pound. Can’t drink enough. for $1000 to get $214 worth of glass.

And, sorry to bring bad news… no redemption for liquor bottles either.

the redemption is on bulk glass. not a lifestyle choice. beings that I had a bar the empty bottles were quite a few. we saved them in carboard boxes on the roof till we had enough to fill the station wagon. rainwater nad to pe poured from them, it was a Job! then when they handed us our payment it was under $2! Lol! I don’t recycle the beer bottles I have now 5¢ each doesn’t cover the gasoline to get them there! .

In the good old days we returned the empties to the store when we got more.
