Wait, isn’t third last? Ouch, at least Jenny was smart enough to say third instead of “You actually were dead last”…

Wow. Artur is to Nate as Gladstone Gander was to Donald Duck. Wonder if that’s where Lincoln Peirce got the inspiration from?

At least you get bronze, Nate.

Nate; clam down. You never hated Artur himself, you hated his perfection and overachievement and his taking of Jenny from you.

I hope that the story arc doesn’t conclude with this strip — I was hoping for something more to happen. In particular, I was hoping for a little more interaction between Nate and Jenny: this is the first time that we see them together after Nate gave her the cold shoulder in front of Dee-Dee and left her mortified.

I thought that they would have a 19th hole at the mini golf, like our course. to make sure that everyone returns the balls after playing, you try to putt the ball on a steep incline. If you get it into one hole you win two free games, if you get it into another, you win ice cream cones for two. if you miss it rolls into a box. I was expecting Artur to win a prize, like ice cream, and then Nate could be irritated more, watching them eat.

If winning means so much to Nate, he needs to practice more. All successful golfers spend countless hours on practice.
