My parents have a garage that hold three cars, but the third stays outside for the third space hold the lawn mower, bicycles, a spare fridge (stocked with food), a freezer, overhead shelves for Christmas decorations, food storage, etc.
Ha, Bev….I know why you didn’t post Tony’s question!
You probably went to Facebook for it, all right…but you left it, and made ME go all the way there to get it..just because you think Peg should go for it….and you saw that Tony says.“She’s talking crazy right?”
Anyway… yup… crazy talk.
Cars don’t need to live indoors, unless you have an enormous house with too much room anyway.
Yeah, I know… or a lot of freezing temperatures…cos then a garage means you don’t have to go out in the snow, and the engine doesn’t freeze.
Otherwise, while it’s nice to give them their own “bedroom,” and it saves the paint…you might as well use that space for other needs.
Why would talking sense be crazy? A garage is for cars!!! If you want a storage room, kick a kid out of the house! Go pay rent some where, tell them!!!
When we married 40 years ago my wife did not understand why I insisted on a two-car garage. Now she mocks people with two-car garages who park outside. And we do not live where it is cold.
In San Marino, California you are not allowed to park on the street over night and you must have enough space to park all of your vehicles in a garage or on a driveway out of sight from the street.
We have a 3 car garage and have 2 cars and the kids pop-up camper in there. AND a fridge, work table, shelves for cleaning supplies, 2 garbage/recycling cans, a cupboard for canning supplies and my big pots, a ladder, and Dales golf clubs. Not to mention the table saw, rotary sander and the drill press!
I try to always keep my cars in the garage. I never know when I might be punished and sent to the garage to spend the night, and I want a comfortable place to sleep…
QOTD #1: Live in an apartment that was built in the ’60’s. I have an open sided wood…thing…to park my car under. My parents, however, have a two car garage with my mom’s BMW parked inside and my dad’s truck parked in the driveway.
QOTD #2: I try to pretend I don’t hear my dad asking how the search for work is going.

People will put a $1,200 riding mower in the garage, and leave a $24,000 car out in the rain. Now, that’s crazy.

Wrong! I have a three-car garage, but don’t have the third car yet. But the two I do have are where they should be: in the garage.

Hate to tell you, dude; but that is the first thing that would come to my mind. Hey, what a concept, right?
