Thanks, ML, Back in my bartending days I made a mean margarita! Couldn’d drink them though. Heck of a thing when the bartender can’t drink his some of his work, isn’t it??

Naiional Weather Service says, 100101101. They tend to be a bit conservative, though.

JanCinVV………. Hope you read my last post about 395 yesterday. My two favorite scenic road trips in California are U.S. 395 from Ridgecrest north, and U.S. 101, from Sante Rosa to Bellingham. Washington. Thumbed that one back in the forties fom San Diego to Bellingham. I was, like, fifteen years o\d, and it was winter.

MontanaLady: Sorry about not giving an answer about my avatar yesterday, took my dear ol’ dad for a VA appointment. (100 miles one way) Any way, I’m not sure what to call it. It is a CG picture of a bird? with it’s head sticking out of it’s egg. Got it off from Tom’s Astronomy Blog. Allot of my space pics come from there. (Thanks Tom)

David142………..I have no knowledge pf that song, “Wee Wino Willie”, but I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if VistaBill had it somewhere in his archives. Or leakysqueaky might have it?

Sorry. VB gives ne a lot more credit for my nusic knowledge than I actually deserve!

Slim, I practically grew up on the 101 between Santa Rosa and North Bend, OR. Rarely got any farther north, though I did drive down from Lincoln City once after flying into Portland. My grandparents lived in NB and when we were kids, we would drive up almost every summer. Dad decided he liked the 101 best when we got stuck on the road just North of Medford between the inland highway (the 99 at the time) and the 101. I remember begging to stop at Trees of Mystery every time we drove past, but we never did. When I was in my 30’s my Mom told me we never stopped because they barely had enough money for gas and food and couldn’t afford the extra. Dad told us at the time he was in too much of a hurry to get to Oregon. I finally did get there, but I had to pay my own way. lol

And Slim, if you are bartending this evening, may I please have that Brandy Alexander? And don’t forget the nutmeg.

I had a friend in Anaheim who was a bartender. She was also a recovering alcoholic who didn’t touch the stuff. She used to have a lot of fun making up new drinks for us, but never wrote down what she had done, so she never made the inventions the same way twice.
