When Jehovah’s Witnesses come to my door, I politely thank them for their interest and their efforts, and tell them that I’m happy with the salvation I already have in the Lord. Then I wish them well. They always thank me for my courtesy – being a missionary is usually unwelcome work – and go their way.
I take them to be completely sincere in their effort, and I’m completely sincere in what I tell them, so we all have a better day.
I also noticed that Bob’s Your Uncle has returned after being gone for 4 years. Did they tell him anything about them fixing Sherpa? Is that why he’s back?
Actually, Cleo, that wasn’t the last straw, if was a fork. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t even the last fork. Just hold off until Clara goes in the house.
That’s overkill, Cleo. Use one stick, on the side of the tree opposite the house. You don’t want to destroy the house too. Never use more high explosive than you need.

EDCOLE Jehovah’s Nuisances take the effort to ring my bell and tell me my beliefs are all wrong.

I’ll say! How can he wear those shoes? Technically it’s not after Labor Day, but still…

Oh, my, Carl is wearing Kassidi’s shift in the front yard, and he is really enjoying it! Carl joins the ranks of the cross dressing Ballardians!

I am sure that if Cleo explains her position to Clara, she will understand.

Cleo is peacefully on her way to Dreamland…
when she suddenly finds herself at an unexpected fork in the path….
in the Sept 6th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”, on Sherpa…
Â
Under a barrage of acorns, she attempts to play, as she tells us, with a wild-eyed, Nauga-toothed squirrel…
countering his massive acorn fire with a mere few dozen pounds of playful explosives….
When along comes Clara, to misinterpret the innocent scene.
Â
What is a girl supposed to do with a detonator, if not detonate something?
I know we’ve seen Cleo launch much less provoked attacks, with even more virulent weapons…
Why is Clara so concerned with a bit of back yard fun?
Â
Meanwhile… I keep drifting off myself…
a new heat wave having promoted lethargy.
Even though it’s cooler now, I can’t shake the fatigue I somehow feel from days like this.
Yesterday (Friday) my weather app predicted the mid-80’s, and it turned out to be in the mid 90’s instead…
Today was predicted to be 96° ….. but at 4pm it was reportedly 104°
Â
For tomorrow … today, for those of you just getting up… it threatens… I mean predicts… 108° … with 102° Monday and Tuesday.
Can’t wait to see what they actually turn out to be.
It would be nice if this time the predictions are inaccurate in the other direction.
Â
I can’t really complain… not with some places confronting real weather problems… tornadoes, hurricanes, floods….
and with swaths of wildfires still burning or barely extinguished within 100 miles of me in several directions.
And besides… we do get that wonderful night-time cooling, that brings a 100° day down to 55° or 60° by early morning….
unlike places where some of you are still sweltering at midnight.
Â
Telling myself that doesn’t seem to wake me up, though… sigh…

That’s not a squirrel, that’s a critter from outer space. Call the MiB.

Cleo might have used a tiny little bit too much explosive. How many nuts did the evil cat next door pay that squirrel to do that?

Cleo has other less overt ways at her disposal. That squirrel needs to go.
Good Morning Ballardeers and Ms. Cooper!. Qdate: 177.98281.85 and we’re getting wet finally. Strong storms blasting through. Yay!
Y’all be safe out there. (((((HUGS)))))

Carl needs to be careful. You don’t want squirrels with teeth like that under your skirts.
