A Dennis the Menace foreshadowing moment. I remember Dennis saying to his Mom, in front of her guest, “I don’t see any blue streak when she talks.” Same situation, different day, “I held the clock right up to her face and it’s still running.” (Approximately, anyway, as I saw those in the single-panel dailies over fifty years ago.)
Yes, I remember Dennis telling a couple that he didn’t want dinner because his dad had said they were having “two stuffed shirts” for dinner. Ketcham ran that one at least twice, because I remember both of them.
