    when ever you tell a dog,,,or a person…no, follow it with a yes. No couch, yes dog bed. When mine do this they are taunting me to come play

    I get the same thing from my cats. I tell them to get down and they do only to come back up again seconds later. “You said get down but you didn’t say I couldn’t come back up again!”

    My friend’s dog understood perfectly to stay off the couch … as long as my friend was in the house. As soon as my friend left the house, the dog would jump on the couch. The best part was when my friend would be outside looking through the picture window, the dog would be excited to see my friend all the while sitting on couch. As soon as my friend opened the front door, the dog would jump of the couch. It was the dog’s logic and he was sticking to it. :-)
