Slim, that one’s from “Pajama Game”. I’ve got a recording of Rosemary Clooney singing it (mother instead of brother). Great song and arrangement. She does a duet with herself, and listening to it, I always thought she was looking in a mirror to sing to herself. (Kind of like Julie Andrews did in Mary Poppins) I’ve also hear Sammy Davis Jr. do it. And oh, by the way, now I’ve got that melody stuck in my head!

Those sort of |Get out of my head” things are called “ear worms”. Very difficult to dislodge and subject to frequent returns for a while. Eventually they pretty much go away but, they will make rthe unexpected reminder now and then!! :-)))

Slim, just about the time my husband left for his six months in Vegas, my “ear worm” was “Alone Again, Naturally”. It lasted for about 2 1/2 weeks. “Hey There” is a big improvement.

Now, I’m going to pour myself a glass of Piesporter and nurse my sore feet. Had a wonderful time at the fair, joined by my son. Spent waaaayyyyy to much money, but then I always do at fairs and homeshows. Can’t resist some of those “latest products”. Also had a Pink’s chili cheese dog for lunch. For those not familiar with Pink’s, I feel sorry for you. We have driven 2 hours to downtown LA and then spent 1 1/2 hours in line just for one of those dogs. Mike got his big introduction today at the fair, and was favorably impressed to say the least. At 33, he’s not doing too bad. I had my first one after age 50, after I saw a Huell Hauser show featuring the place.

Sounds like you had quite a day’ I’m a little beat tonight myself, and I didn’t do much of anything today.

Part of the aging process, I suppose. That and medical sleep aids. I\m a little tired most of the time.

I haven’t been to a fair since the 60s. That was the California State Fair. Not sure, maybe mid-sixties. I’m not very partial to crowds. Too much solitude, i suppose, but I have always liked a goodly amounf of it. I get along good with me!! :-))
