First of all, it was Iran’s money. Second, it wasn’t a secret. The State Department issued a press release the day it happened — in January! Now, 7 months later it’s a big story?

The conservatives don’t trust Hillary because of her “lies” but they are perfectly alright with making up their own lies and conspiracies. The money belonged to Iran, Our economic sanctions tied it up for years. It was used as leverage to get a nuclear agreement with Iran. It was not a secret, it did not include any taxpayer dollars. They simply go part of their own money back. It was much less than they wanted but better than nothing. It just goes to show, if your mind is made up already, the facts are irrelevant.

Money was sent in cash, without notification of Congress, in an umarked plane..Hostages were released only after that plane landed.Iran tells its people that is was a ransom payment. What other explanation do Democrats need?

Lisa, why should we pay any attention to your opinions, when they have no basis in fact?If you dislike the bill of fare served here, you are free to take your custom elsewhere.

More delusions from the gal who once compared herself to “Bill Maudlin”. She has obvious vision problems.

Wow, now the Cons are bashing Reagan. Next thing you’ll know, you’ll start burning down the churches like in the Spanish Civil War.

How many of that number are retired, full time students, stay at home parents, disabled?Oh, and income growth was 2.6%, first significant growth since Bill Clinton was president.

And just for the record, David Cromwell’s (aka John Lecarré) political views are polar opposite to yours.

This is not like when Reagan traded weapons to a US enemy for hostages. This is a payment for a debt incurred (by Reagan if anyone cares). Obama also got the hostages released, back in January. If you are going to make up funny non-issue make-em-ups at least try to pin them to Clinton. You guys are not very good at making up scandals that actually stick to anyone. Maybe you should try the truth next time?

That can’t be true. As Repersenative King of Iowa said, only white people have contributed to civilization.

The “deal” was by no means a secret. The release of our sailors who DID violate Iranian waters had nothing whatever to do with the return of Iranian funds to the country. The exchange of PRISONERS held by Iran, and THE US in the case of the Iranian/US joint citizenship folks who Iran claimed were still Iranian by birth, also had nothing to do with the funds, it was the PRISONERS we released!!

Just another “floater” in the cesspool of right wing attacks from the RNC and the actually very conservative “media”.

Hmm, how about the “hostages” we’re still holding in Guantanamo? Oh, right, THOSE folks are prisoners, proven guilty of no crimes in any court, not “hostages”.

" @Douglas HaireWhere do you get your non facts from?."~~So you can prove him wrong. Go ahead.~~Always with your dumb comments I don’t have to prove fiction wrong it’s not real to begin with. That’s like saying “So you can prove Mickey Mouse isn’t real?”

Oh boy, another statistics spinner. Your poor attempt at looking intelligent resulted in a completely misleading recitation of “facts.” The number you cite includes every single male and female in the country that is 16 years of age or older and is NOT LOOKING FOR A JOB, a minor detail that covers many different situations. Would it surprise you to know that, of the 94 million people in your “not in the work force” group, approximately 70 million are either retired, in school, or staying at home to care for other family members. Throw in another 7-8 million that are disable or ill and we are now in the 75-million-plus range that don’t work by choice, or can’t work due to non-economic factors. Your implication by omitting this pertinent element of the data would seem to be quite clear: “Look out folks, we got 94 million lazy shiftless bums out there in this country that you are forced to support with your tax dollars.”Once again, the spinning of statistics to suit some other agenda rears its ugly head. Do as all a favor and at least be thorough in your assessment when you take your tin foil hat off.

Poor little Lisa. The truth doesn’t make for a good ‘toon so it so much easier to make stuff up. Wonder what she’ll do if the public gets a severe case of stupid and elects Trump.

If your only rebuttal to me is for me not to comment ….My comment said this:

If you dislike the bill of fare served here, you are free to take your custom elsewhere. How a simple truism could be construed as an admonition not to comment or as a “rebuttal” is beyond me.
