    Depends on the reason. If it’s a problem with the plane, punch the engineer. If the pilot’s running late, punch him/her. If it’s weather, punch God.

    At LAX we had a flight delayed to Honolulu. We had to wait for SIX HIURS for another plane from Atlanta, GA. As a result we missed our connecting flight to Lihue.

    No, “whom” is correct in this case since it is being used as the direct object of the verb “punch” in the sentence. “I” serves as the subject of the sentence.
