Rose: I miss the days when every concrete block...would have been covered with amazing art!
Jimbo: Choose a color.
Rose: Sidewalk chalk!
Jimbo: I can still draw a rocket ship!
Rose: Look at my flower!
Our church had a busy weekend. Friday was a party for an adoption. There were a TON of kids there, and a lot of them used chalk to draw on the walkway at the front of the church. The next day, Saturday, was a funeral. A part of me wishes they had left the happy chalk drawings, but it would have been disrespectful. (Sunday had 3 baptisms. Like I said, BUSY weekend!)
better be careful or some parents will ask a law to be passed that one can not use chalk on the sidewalk, that its gonna scare his or her kids or somethng stupid like is going on now.
Here in San Diego we have a festival that celebrates Sidewalk Chalk Art. Some of the drawings are amazing. There are some very talented people out there.

I like to find chalk body outlines after the police have finished with a murder scene, and turn them into chalk outlines of Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man.

When I used to travel overseas on business trips, my wife and kids would draw big welcome signs on our sidewalks when I returned. It was awesome.
