Breaking Cat News by Georgia Dunn for August 18, 2016
Transcript:
Woman: There you go, boys! Ham, kept warm in the oven. I'm gonna fetch Elvis a plate. That's odd. I thought I sliced more left overs than this. Agnes: Let's discuss this week's book. "Watership Down." Alice: I thought it was a sweet story with cute bunnies. Natasha: You didn't read the book, did you?

Love the pin cushion seat! I haven’t seen one of those in years ( probably because I haven’t sewn anything since around 1969).

Everybody is happy now, full of ham. Glad the mice had a share. Who knew the mice were a well read group. I’ve grown to love them over the past weeks. Georgia can make all her characters lovable.

I get admonished everytime there is ham for dinner. “Don’t give them ham! it’s bad for them!”I always sneak them a little sliver back in the kitchen after dinner..

Small mouse sized bread slices, where do you find those tiny loafs?

Clearly The Woman knew that fugitive hams like to hide in caves. This one apparently mistook the oven for a cave.

….looks like Lupin is over his heartbreak :)…didn’t somebody last week call it on the book title, Watership Down? (good on you!)

What a great ending….anyone other than me not think of that ham-hiding place??

I remember Watership Down. Really enjoyable.

My mother had one of those pin cushions that looks like a tomato. I don’t sew (other than replacing buttons that come off) so I never had one. Book Club with ham sandwiches, probably better than getting soused on wine!

Awwwww. I am looking at ham sandwiches and I haven’t had breakfast yet. The stomach is growling at me.

Apparently these cats are unable to smell hot ham. Mine can smell it a block away.

Umm, I’ve got one of those tomato pin-cushions. They’re still for sale at fabric shops.
And dang, those Robber Mice are fast!
I’m guessing Lupin found that ham cured the woes of his heart?

I love Watership Down! It’s definitely not a cute-bunny-frolicking story, though.

Aww…I don’t know why but it seems extra adorable to me to see the boys hunched over eating “like cats” when we’re so used to seeing them act like people.
I see they have their happy tails in the air!
