Bud isn’t a loser. He has a job, a home and food. As far as wanting to go to Europe for a month, I don’t blame him. I’ve seem a lot of it and most of it isn’t worth going to unless you really like being ripped off everywhere you go and enjoy the very high possibility of being mugged or killed by some raghead over some obscure stupid religious belief.
the best thing to do would be ‘ask’. If he has a good relation with his boss, then it would not be a problem to just ask, and when you ask, you will get an answer, and you will know what to do then. Till then, you will only worry wondering about an answer you won’t get, till you ask
Anyone remember that episode of ‘Frasier?’ The one radio caller whose wife wanted to vacation in Italy?Frasier: Ah. Italia. The cuisine. The wines. The art. Caller: I still think we should spend the money on a new sump pump.
What is Bud’s job. Is it something seasonal that will allow for extended furloughs? Maybe it’s something that can find value in Bud going to Italy for a long time.Another consideration is do they have the funds set aside to spend a month without a paycheck?
What about Betty’s job? Would it be a good idea for her to be away for a month?
