Next time try a rubber snake. Works great. Until an owl carries it off.
I put one of those owls in my garden to keep the birds away from my tomatoes. It didn’t help. Neither did rubber snakes. Or pinwheels. I finally wrapped lunch bags around the ones that were starting to ripen. That worked.
