At least Boody has saved himself from the Cannibals, even if unwittingly! –It is a bit of a question, though, as Redmess noted, out of which bleeep that FOOOOSHHH came!
EDIT: I see our all-wise Nannybot does not accept o r i f i c e!
Not only did the fire NOT come out of his nose, it went up. So why didn’t it burn down the tree – which is what it hit – rather than roasting the bad guys?
If these are rhetorical questions, great. You can go about your day without worrying about a thing.
If you really really really need answers,….
The tree seems to be some kind of spirit tree since it is white and featureless. That’s probably why it didn’t burn. But it did burn the moss that was in the way.
Why did the fire come out there? Who’s to say that fire wasn’t completely engulfing the inside the web cocoon? The part that opened was probably just the weakest part of the cocoon. Plus, and more importantly, it is downstage and thus easier for the reader of the comic strip to see.

Heh - fans just cannot get too over-analytical! I liked Justin’s answers too. Problem is that we have the following:
The dragon could still be dead at this point, with the home-fires burning
Dudly’s spirit, and not his body was in the underworld, so he could not use the gateway to Mythtickle to get out and will probably have to take another rout, if he does indeed get out.
I hope so.

No, there’s no question - look at where his head fin is (topside, not bottomside) and the form of the rest of the package.
I’d rant about the quickness of a lot of us to assume bathroom humor where there is none, but the handwriting is on the wall already on that subject.

The thing is, Johanan, it seems to come from about where I’d expect to find his eyes!

It’s no fun when the food tries to cook you.

Sisyphos, that’s what I thought. Looks like his eyes are the window to his furnace…and an open window at that…

The fire could be from his nostrils.

Well twypsi I had thought of Stargate SG One. After all the river was shallow and Boody had nowhere to go in ‘normal’ space-time.

Pifflepuss Boody is the dead dragon in the coccoon. Sir Dudley is the knight who wanted to bring him back from the afterlife.

oops - I was helping a client when I wrote that - you are correct. :(
