She has to be the only German in the world who prefers ketchup to mustard. Then again, why would a German (or anyone else with any sense) eat a hot dog when there are so many wonderful German sausages to choose from?

Just as between trains in Hamburg I had the local chopped beef sandwich, between planes in Frankfurt I had the local sausage – listed on the menu as “hot dog”. With ketchup. I save the (brown) mustard or brats, etc.
