Husband and I are 18th century reenactors. I recently found some info to use when talking to the public – in 1736 the UK removed its witch laws from its books. I am not sure if that seems too late in time or too early in time for me.

In the movie, most of the nannies in line for the interview were stuntmen in drag, because there weren’t enough trained stuntwomen available.
