Ralph: Doing the daily crossword puzzle is one of the joys of my life! Wad wad wad!
Norman: That joy didn't last long!
Ralph: Friday's puzzle is always the hardest!
For me, part of the fun is the challenge of solving the more difficult puzzles, and figuring out the wordplay featured in the NYT puzzles (especially the Sunday) feature.
I only do Sunday crosswords, for the “Aha!” moments when I figure out the theme. The rest are just a wy to fill time, which many other things do very effectively. Conversely, I usually only do the Monday and Tuesday Sudokus because I can get the thrill quickly and get on wih everything else.

I think Sunday’s is the hardest. In the NYTimes they get progressively harder from Monday through Sunday.

I hate word puzzles. My mom was a whizz at those things. I could never get into the JOY of it.

I do like to do the ones in airline magazines, but put my napkin over the grid to do them as diagramless and leave them for the next passenger.

BlueIris
Which is a strange construction since in Romanji, all consonants must be followed by a vowel except m and n in a terminal position.
