Alice: Mom! Did you see me I gave Big Shirley a doggie treat! Mom: Well, you threw it at her and eventually she ate it. Alice: It was an important step for me and for Big Shirley. And it's an occasion that demands some tangible form of commemoration... I know! I'll have Petey make a shoebox diorama about it! Mom: Ho! I thought you were going to ask for ice cream.

I don’t think Big Shirley is mean, just big. And RT has blogged it. I, too, thought Alice was going to ask for ice cream. There is always time for an ice cream celebration.
