I would have gone in her room and dumped it on her bed. There are already some bowls on there. She’d probably never notice it.

Mrs. DeGroot outsmarted herself there. She’s going to have a fine time washing gravy out of the tableloth.

Messiness messes with my brain. It really really bothers me. My kids say it’s an ocd, but I figure if one is going to have an ocd it might as well be cleanliness, that way everything is always nice and clean.

I care more about how my food tastes… I can look at plenty of other things, while eating, anyway!

Luann must be growing pretty fast there, Puddles looks tiny now!

@Mikeyj
I think he’d be a much better match for Bern, than creepy old star head!
I don’t find him so much creepy as he is merely mysterious<<<Mysterious always creeps me out!

It seems Nancy is teaching Luann the value of “Keeping up appearances”….
- -
Or maybe more like “Putting them down”….
- -
And, too, it may be the representation of the timeless adage: “You are what you eat”….

Nancy liking what Luann said. Well if she likes it in her personal space, why not for meals too?

Nice strategy there, and quite the lesson.

This sounds suspiciously like a now well-known comment: “What difference does it make?”

As a teenager in the early 60’s, my room was filled with electronic equipment, some of which were not in cabinets. My mother and my sister refused to go in there, which was fine with me. (this was back in the age of tubes which needed high voltages to operate)

Often Greg will provide some current pop culture reference in one of the posters on the wall, but not this time. hmmm.

Gotta try that on my boys.

Have to say that I appreciate Greg staying away from politics and the election frenzy, some others have ventured there and its like a mine field.

Like most, Frank would look horrid w a comb-over.
jackianne1020 about 8 years ago
Admittedly, my room was always a mess when I was a kid. But by the time I was LuAnn’s age, the neatness gene finally kicked in and I kept my room (and homes) neat and clean.

Mom 42: Luann 16

Wouldn’t happen in my house…my mom was a cleaning nut and I took after her….my sister and brother not so much….so since was like the “devil” with them both. Of course, I just smirked which did not endear me to them…but at that age I didn’t care LOL

Luann is a legal adult (18) and in college. Why do we still have this recurring theme with her messy room? Moreover, why isn’t Luann pitching in and cooking dinner on occasion?
Sisyphos about 8 years ago
How can you live like that?!
My scattered stuff and I have a mutual understanding.
Eat your mixed veggies and stop being such a picky eater: you’re no Petey Ottterloop!

I love that the sauce and gravy on Luann’s plate are just spilling over onto the table. It makes me think that Nancy just slammed the plate down in front of Luann.

Anybody else notice that Nil seems to be a male version of Bern. Not just looks and style of dress, but attitude as well.
