Maneuvering thrusters, impulse engines, and warp engines are totally different pieces of equipment. :-P
How appropriate. Three eyed creatures make the best navigators in space. They are not limited to “two-dimensional thinking”, unlike some genetically engineered supermen…

Actually, I was thinking that the joke was that they are so advanced that their thrusters could do warp and their warp engines were way beyond.
