I have to confess, I am a big fan of NFL Red Zone which is broadcast on ESPN down here in Ecuador. I get to watch all the games without all the b.s., commercials, and general time wasting that goes on. I find it difficult to watch an NFL game which is 22 minutes of football ( actual playing time ) surrounded by an additional 2 hours of blather and boredom.
Shorten the time of a game to about two hours-two hours and fifteen minutes. It’s a sixty minute game with a fifteen minute intermission. There’s no need to have almost two hours of commercials, etc. Kickoff, followed by commercial. Punt/change of possession followed by commercial. Enough.
Let the teams keep their timeouts but NO MORE “official timeouts” (which used to be called “TV timeouts” back when “pre-owned cars” were “used cars”……..)
I just pause the game for about 20-30 minutes, go out and work in the yard, then come back to watch the game. Cowboys are pretty good at running plays about 35 seconds apart, so being able to use the 30 second skip lets me watch just the plays.
I can’t believe you guys (commenters) call yourselves sports fans! Red Zone is not giving you the real feel of the game, you have to watch one game from start to finish including all the time between plays when you listen to the discussions of the plays. That way you can really know why the game turned out the way it did.

Maybe we are just fed up with all the BS, Prima Donnas, Moronic penalties, and the overall wussification of the game.

The comments above are on the money.
I hope Roger Goodell is a Tank McNamara fan.
